The Cheney boys' soccer team hit a bit of a snag last week in Great Northern League play. The Blackhawks dropped a pair of contests at home, falling 2-0 Tuesday to East Valley and getting clipped 2-1 by Pullman in a shootout on Thursday.
Head coach Morgan Hartanov felt his team dominated the game for the most part against the Knights, but simply couldn't generate enough scoring opportunities. After a scoreless first half, East Valley's Devonte Gorman broke the tie with a goal in the 43rd minute in what would prove to be the game winner.
