CHENEY
March 20
Second-degree theft was reported on the 700 block of Sixth Street.
Kenneth J. Carrier, 53, was arrested for third-degree driving while license suspended (DWLS) on the 700 block of West First.
Two broken bicycles were found on the 100 block of East Betz Road.
March 21
Third-degree theft was reported on the 2200 block of First Street. A satellite radio and compact discs were taken from a vehicle.
March 22
Police were called to the 100 block of College Avenue over an apparent dispute over payment for food. Medics were on scene when officers arrived, but while the individual was requesting transport to a hospital, it was determined transport was not needed. The individual refused to pay for food, and when officers conducted a records check, it was determined he had an outstanding arrest warrant. Eric M. Seward, 39, was arrested and booked into Spokane County Jail on a Spokane warrant for theft.
Identification theft was reported on the 1500 block of Fifth Street. An unauthorized account was opened.
March 23
Financial fraud was reported on the 1700 block of Third Street.
Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the zero hundred block of B Street. A window was broken.
Brian L. Stanger, 49, was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) on the 600 block of Betz Road.
March 24
Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 200 block of Presley Street. Graffiti was painted on park buildings.
Edward J. Steetle, 27, was arrested on the 1600 block of First Street for a third-degree theft and a first-degree criminal trespass warrant out of Spokane County District Court.
Residential burglary was reported on the 300 block of North Third Street. Unlawful entry was gained and video games taken.
Emily R. Johnson, 22, was arrested on the 1700 block of First Street for third-degree DWLS.
March 25
A wallet was turned in to the Police Department.
Domestic violence/residential burglary was reported on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road. An individual shouldered their way through the door and engaged in an argument with the resident.
March 26
Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the 2800 block of Washington Street.
Andres P. Aldaco, 24, was arrested on the 800 block of West First Street.
March 27
Taking motor vehicle without owner’s permission was reported on the 800 block of West First Street.

A juvenile runaway was reported on the 300 block of East Grace Street. The juvenile has not returned home.
