In a March 16 news release, the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the identity of a woman who passed away in a March 14 structure fire as Cherie Wilson.
The release lists smoke inhalation as the cause of death.
On March 14, at approximately 12:45 a.m. the Medical Lake Fire Department and several other agencies responded to a structure fire at a residence on the 400 block of North Stanley Street.
Agencies from Airway Heights, Fairchild Air Force Base and Spokane Fire Department, along with Spokane County fire districts 3, 9 and 10 assisted with the scene and cleanup.
