Cheney boys rally to knock off Mt. Spokane

It required a bit of modification, but the Cheney High School boys soccer team managed to get its first game of the year into the books. The Blackhawks rallied from a 1-0 deficit to score two second half goals en route to the 2-1 win over visiting Mt. Spokane last Friday afternoon.

First, thawing snow transformed the west side of Cheney's field from wet ground to a soggy, muddy bog. The conditions forced officials to move the sideline in about six yards, narrowing that portion of the pitch.
