Thanks to a $14,000 grant from the Spokane-area Hagan Foundation, Windsor Elementary School students have 11 new xylophones on which to learn and perform. Besides class instruction, a group of fifth-graders have gotten together to form a marimba band under the direction of music teachers Sam Schlaich and Dorothy Thomas.
