Sophomore Weston Thomas leads a contingent of three wrestlers from Medical Lake who will compete for state titles at Mat Classic XXIX in Tacoma Friday and Saturday, Feb. 17 – 18.
Thomas, who will wrestle at 113 pounds, finished third in regional competition at Omak last weekend. Thomas lost a second-round bout to Freeman’s Hunter Nees, but worked his way through the consolation bracket, scoring three consecutive pins, the final over Kyon Ray of Colville in 2 minutes, 12 seconds.
