Bodnar’s soccer contract extended

Eastern Washington University has announced a two-year contract extension for women’s soccer head coach Chad Bodnar.

“Coach Bodnar has done a tremendous job with our program, highlighted by this year’s Big Sky Championship,” EWU’d atheltics director, Bill Chaves, said. “We look forward to a bright future.”

Bodnar has a 33-18-7 record during his three years in Cheney, and captured the program’s first-ever Big Sky Tournament title.

“I’m very excited to be able to sign a contract extension and commit to Eastern and our soccer program through 2020,” Bodnar said. “Our success to this point has been a complete team effort from my staff and the whole department in all phases, and we hope to continue moving forward with positive results both on and off the field.”

Eastern Washington is coming off its best season in program history as they went 13-5-4 and won the Big Sky Tournament for the first time in program history.
