Cheney boys swimming head coach Jennifer Hochwalt was a little worried heading into last Thursday's home meet between the Blackhawks and visiting Selah Vikings and a co-op team from East Valley-Yakima.
Hochwalt's high school boys team hadn't swam competitively since Dec. 3 - ironically a five-team meet in Yakima that included, Selah, Grandview, Prosser and East Valley-Yakima. The Blackhawks swam to wins over all four schools, and Hochwalt wasn't sure if the layoff - due to weather-forced cancellations - would lead to similar success at home.
It didn't take long for her worries to be assuaged....
