Cheney's Zapf receives national honors

Cheney High School student Sydney Zapf was selected as a 2017 National Honorable Mention recipient of The National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) Award for Aspirations in Computing.

Each year, high school-age women in grades 9 through 12 are eligible to receive recognition for their demonstrated interest and achievements in computing, proven leadership ability, academic performance and plans for post‑secondary education.

This year, the NCWIT selected 50 national award winners and 350 honorable mention recipients from over 3,500 applicants....
