Airway Heights ready to roll out its 2017 budget

The primary focus of Airway Heights’ 2017 budget, totaled at over $19.32 million, is on four key areas which the city seeks to improve on — public safety, economic development, building and recreation opportunities.

“With the new casino coming in, we’re trying to maintain services as best we can,” Amy Gravelle, clerk-treasurer, said. “We’re trying to look toward the future and what that will bring to the city.”

According to information provided by staff, current expense fund revenues are estimated at over $6.855 million while expenditures are projected at over $6.853 million.
