Eastern soccer still tops standings
The Eastern Washington University soccer team won a 1-0 victory at Sacramento State after a game-winner from senior Kiana Hafferty on Sunday, Oct. 2.
Coupled with a 0-0 tie Friday at Portland State, the Eagles are 3-0-1 in Big Sky Conference play and remain in first place with 10 points. Idaho and Weber State, both 3-1, have nine points.
“The second half Sacramento State responded well and had us on our heels for a bit,” head coach Chad Bodnar said.
