While the Cheney High football team has found success on the road, they cannot seem to get a win at home. The Blackhawks opened Great Northern League play with a 47-34 loss to East Valley, Sept. 30. Cheney (0-1 GNL, 2-3 overall) has lost all three at home so far this season.
"It was a big Homecoming game, they got on us early and we weren't able to overcome (the deficit)," head coach Bobby Byrd said. "At the same time, I thought there were times where we put together something on offense."
