Hi-Flyers square dance lessons begin

The Cheney Hi-Flyers Dance Club is offering beginning square dance lessons on Monday nights at Cheney’s City Hall, 609 Second St. Lessons run from 7 –8:30 p.m.

The Hi-Flyers feature popular instructor Adam Christman. Everyone is encouraged to dress casual, relaxed, ready to laugh at mistakes and most of all have some healthy fun.

Lessons are $4 per person, but each person’s first lesson is free. For more information, call Bob or Sharon Batty at 235-8770 or Grant or Lelia Smith at 235-6066.

Medical Lake Cemetery work party

The “old” Medical Lake Cemetery is holding a community workday on Saturday, Sept. 24, at 9 a.m. The cemetery is located at 21419 Thorpe Road, west of Brooks Road.

Anyone wishing to help with maintenance of the grounds is invited to come and bring lawn mowers, trimmers, garden tools, etc.

Food for green fees at Fairways

The eighth annual Food Drive at the Fairways Golf Course is taking place until Sept. 26. Donate four (4) items of non-perishable food (cans or boxes) and receive a coupon for 50 percent off green fees on your next round of golf. Even if you don’t golf, please drop off any donation at the Fairways Club House.
