Cheney UCC

You are cordially invited to attend services at Cheney UCC at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7. Pastor David Krueger-Duncan will deliver the sermon and preside at the communion table. Everyone is welcome to partake in our communion if they wish to do so. Music director Kate Francis will have something special arranged for us. A coffee hour follows in the fellowship hall. Please come to get acquainted.

Summer church office hours are Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Call the church office at 235-4193 for information. Messages may be left if no one is in the office when you call.

Thursday, Aug. 11 the “Lunch Bunch” will meet at noon in the fellowship hall for a potluck lunch. If you are interested, you are welcome to join us. Bring a dish to share. Everyone is welcome to attend any of our activities.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

The congregation of Emmanuel Lutheran Church invites you to worship with us at 10:30 a.m. this Sunday, Aug. 7. You may also watch our pastor’s sermons at our website or on YouTube at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Cheney. Adult education begins at 9 a.m.

Coming soon, Emmanuel’s Little Free Library will be open to the public at 639 Elm St. in the church’s front yard by mid-August. The community library will contain books for all ages and genres. All are welcome to take a book and leave a book.

United Methodist Church

Please be our guest as we join together for worship at 10 a.m. each Sunday morning at the United Methodist Church. Pastor Alissa Bertsch Johnson and associate pastor Pat Sleeth will lead the service this Sunday and continue a sermon series based on the book of Colossians. This week’s focus will be on the nature of new life in Christ.

Work is underway in preparation for Vacation Bible School, Aug. 14-18. The theme is Norway and there are a variety of ways you can be involved in this exciting week. Register your children now and/or sign up to help.
