Move at May 24 meeting first step in restructuring Cheney Police Department
Cheney’s City Council adopted seven ordinances at its May 24 meeting, most dealing with construction but also one that will pave the way for a reorganization of the city’s Police Department.
Ordinance W-92 amends the city’s 2016 wage structure for some positions within the Police Department. According to information from the city, the ordinance is needed because “Changes in job duties necessitates a wage change to accurately compensate employees for their assigned duties.”
