Cheney Board approves Fisher Building sale

The Fisher Building, formerly the Cheney School District administration building, has been sold for the fourth time in two years.

At its May 11 meeting, the Cheney School Board approved a proposed sale agreement with Eastmark Capital Group LLC., a development company based in Seattle, to sell the building for $750,000, with Director Mitch Swenson abstaining.

The sale includes a 75-day feasibility period with an option for a 45-day extension at a cost of $12,500, which is half of the earnest money.

Previous buyers of the building had 90-day feasibility periods. In a May 12 phone interview...
