Merchant's Association to begin local TV ads

Cheney and its businesses will soon be starring in a pilot program from the Cheney Merchants’ Association featuring television ads carried to Davis Communications customers.

The spots will feature CMA members identifying themselves and their business and inviting viewers to buy local, buy Cheney.

Doug Nixon is sponsoring the initial campaign as a prototype. He plans to spend $1,000 of personal funds to initiate the campaign. Half that money will be spent on production of a series of ads.
