Spokane County Fire District 3 has announced the 2015 recipients for Firefighter and Officer of the Year. Firefighter Dan Horton and Lieutenant Firefighter Wendy Jarchow were recognized for their significant contributions at the district's annual firefighter appreciation banquet March 19.
"Our community relies on our part-time paid, on call firefighters to respond in their time of need," District 3 Fire Chief Bruce Holloway said in a news release. "Dan and Wendy are just two outstanding examples of well-trained, committed individuals who make a difference."
