Busy week back from break for Cheney girls track and field

It was a busy first week back from spring break for the Cheney High girls track and field team. The Blackhawks opened with a 94-52 Great Northern League dual win over visiting Clarkston, and then split up to compete in two large meets Saturday, the 107-team Pasco Invitational and the Big Red on Cheney's home turf.

Cheney had a relatively easy time against the Bantams April 14, winning 12 of 17 events. On the track, first-place finishes went to Alsatta Bakana (100-meter dash), Hannah Spakousky (800), Brette Draper (1,600), Alexis Brooks, (3,200), KD Skillingstad (100 hurdles) and Julliette Gaul...
