In the Feb. 25 Cheney Free Press it was incorrectly stated that Cheney City Councilwoman Teresa Overhauser was the recipient of a certificate of municipal leadership — advanced from the Association of Washington Cities.
Councilwoman Jill Weiszmann is the actual recipient of the CML — advanced certification.
According to the AWC website, city officials receive the certification after earning an additional 30 credits of instruction and demonstrating community service. Community service includes local or statewide board or committee positions or leadership on projects such as fundraising efforts....
