Cheney United Church of Christ

Guest pastor Jan Shannon will deliver the message at the Cheney UCC on Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. Her sermon is entitled “Everyone” based on the text Romans 10:8-13. Special music will be provided by Kate Slyusarev. A coffee hour will follow in the church fellowship hall. You are cordially invited to attend.

 Men’s breakfast meets at 7:45 a.m. at the Marketplace Cheney prior to services on Sunday, Feb. 14, and each second and fourth Sunday.

 Everyone is welcome to attend any of our services and activities at the Cheney UCC.  We would be happy to greet you.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

All are welcome to worship with us this Sunday, Feb. 14 at 10:30 a.m. as we celebrate the First Sunday in Lent. Christian education for grade school through adult begins at 9 a.m.

Emmanuel would like to thank the community for attending our “Festival of Chocolate” event that will financially support our summer Vacation Bible School. We thank you for your very generous donations.

Emmanuel invites you to attend our Lenten mid-week soup supper and worship beginning Wednesday, Feb. 17. Soup supper will be served at 6 p.m. followed by Holden Evening Prayer at 6:30.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

Holy Communion is Sunday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Christine Soule will preach and preside. Lenten reflection and discussion following coffee hour. Ash Wednesday Holy Eucharist and Ashes is at 7 p.m.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets every Saturday morning at ll:30 a.m. in the parish hall.

United Methodist Church

Happy Valentine’s Day from the United Methodist Church. Pastor Alissa Bertsch Johnson and associate pastor Pat Sleeth will lead the worship service this Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. They will begin a Lenten sermon series based on the book, “Gifts of the Dark Wood.”

Sunday evening the adult fellowship will gather for a planned lasagna potluck at 5 p.m. Following the meal there will be an opportunity for some fun dance lessons. Everyone is welcome. This week and continuing Sundays through Lent there will be an evening prayer service and dessert at 6:30 p.m.

On Wednesday evenings join us for soup at 6 p.m. Followed by a Lenten study also based on the book, “Gifts of the Dark Wood.” Childcare will be available.
