CHENEY
Jan. 26
The Cheney Police Department assisted the Washington State Patrol with a driving under the influence stop on the 1700 block of Second Street.
Second-degree theft was reported on the 1400 block of Second Street. A credit card was taken from a vehicle.
Jan. 27
Devin M. Gagon, 18, was arrested for fourth-degree assault at Cheney High School.
Medical injury was reported on the 200 block of East North Foothills Drive in Spokane. The incident initially took place Dec. 23 when an off-duty Cheney firefighter came upon an auto accident and after summoning help, performed CPR on the driver until medics arrived.
Drawing/displacing/intimidating with a weapon was reported on the 2000 block of Washington Street.
Jan. 28
Joe L. Lopez, 20, was arrested for third-degree driving while license suspended (DWLS) on the 1600 block of First Street.
A 17-year-old male was arrested for second-degree robbery on the 100 block of West First Street.
Jan. 29
Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 200 block of Third Street. There was damage to a fence.
Dylan J. Douthitt, 23, was arrested for third-degree theft/shoplifting on the 2700 block of First Street. He was also arrested on warrants for third-degree theft and third-degree malicious mischief.
Joel Hurtado, 22, was arrested for violation of the nuisance ordinance (loud party) on the 1600 block of Third Street.
Jan. 30
Domestic violence was reported on the 300 block of J Street.
A Case Logic CD case is in safekeeping at the Police Department. The case came from the car of a man who had a heart attack, lost control of his vehicle and struck a fire hydrant and then a fence of a business on the 500 block of First Street.
Third-degree theft was reported on the 400 block of North Sixth Street. A cellphone was taken.
Cars were reported blocking an alley on the 200 block of Third Street.
Jan. 31
Third-degree theft was reported on the 200 block of West Second Street. An emergency kit and tools were taken from a vehicle.
A wallet and its contents were found on the 1100 block of First Street.
Police received a call from a parent on the 1000 block of Betz Road who reported their child was receiving inappropriate text messages.

Arson was reported on the 1000 block of East Lake Street.

Physical abuse was reported on the 1100 block of North Edna Street

Jan. 27
Edwina Z. Merrell, 54, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road for second-degree theft.
Third-degree theft was reported on the 600 block of South Lawson Street.
Officers took a Child Protective Services referral on the 13400 block of West 13th Avenue.
A hit-and-run accident was reported on the 1800 block of South Campbell Street.
Forgery/counterfeit currency was reported on the 1300 block of South Hayford Road.

Jacob L. Stephens, 24, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road for third-degree theft/shoplifting.
Corey L. West, 26, was arrested on the 12500 block of West 12th Avenue on a felony warrant.
Vehicle prowling was reported on the 900 block of South Salish Court.
Max A. Cross, 26, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road for a domestic violence no contact order violation.
Jan. 29
Joseph M. Erwin, 29, was arrested on the 1900 block of South Mintle Street on warrants for failure to appear on a third-degree DWLS charge and failure to comply on a third-degree DWLS charge.
A traffic accident with damages was reported at Highway 2 and Hayford Road.
Jan. 30
Liliya I. Kuropatkin, 29, was arrested at Highway 2 and Deer Heights Road for resisting arrest on a warrant for failure to comply on an obstructing charge.
Joseph M. Malinowski, 22, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road for third-degree theft/shoplifting.
Patrick D. Hughes, 37, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road on warrants for failure to comply on first-degree criminal trespassing and third-degree theft charges.

Vehicle theft was reported on the 12000 block of West 21st Avenue.
A burglary was reported on the 1900 block of South Mintle Street.
Feb. 1
Jerry D. Winsryg, 32, was arrested on the 1000 block of South Ziegler Street for third-degree malicious mischief/domestic violence.
Keith A. Cash, 43, was arrested on the 10400 block of West Highway 2 on a warrant for theft.
Logan J. Freer, 18, was arrested on the 12800 block of West 13th Avenue for a domestic violence no contact order violation.
Natalie Y. Mullen, 20, was arrested at Highway 2 and Deer Heights road for third-degree DWLS.
Feb. 2
Harassment was reported on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road.
