New EWU Hall of Fame member Gary Glasgow from Medical Lake was a four-year starter and led the team in batting as a freshman.
Perhaps the most unusual thing about the induction of Medical Lake's Gary Glasgow into the Eastern Washington University Athletics Hall of Fame is that the sport he was originally recruited to the school to play is not why he is being recognized.
"They recruited me to play football," Glasgow said, but the man who defined the term multi-sport standout for the Cardinals in the early 1960s will be honored for his baseball skills. "I played (football) about two weeks then decided basketball and baseball were way more fun." He would earn a basketball letter in 1965.
