Cheney firefighters earn promotions

Two Cheney firefighters have successfully completed the promotion process with top scores in their classifications and moved up in fire department rank. Chris Munoz has been promoted to lieutenant while Bill Dennstaedt was promoted to battalion chief, with both receiving their new badges at a ceremony during the Sept. 8 City Council meeting.

Munoz has been with the department since 2006, serving three years as a resident firefighter and three years as a volunteer before becoming full time in 2013. He has also worked for American Medical Response.
