Big plays doom Medical Lake in loss to St. Maries

Medical Lake head football coach Wes Hobbs shook his head after looking at the stats report from last Friday’s nonleague football game at Holliday Field with visiting St. Maries.

His Cardinals dominated so many of the categories, winning the total yardage 349-276, time of possession by nearly 10 minutes and a 14-6 edge in first downs.

Yet when the horn sounded the Lumberjacks assured themselves of a fun trip in the winding roads back to Idaho after scoring a 42-12 win. Medical Lake fell to 0-2 while St. Maries improved to 3-0.
