Feed Medical Lake Sept. 14

Feed Medical Lake will serve beef stroganoff, buttered noodles, garden salad, roll and cookies on Monday, Sept. 14 from 5-6 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 223 S. Hallett St. Free groceries are available. Everyone is welcome.

ML Friends of Library meet

The Medical Lake Friends of the Library will be discussing “Primates of Park Avenue” by Wednesday Martin. The Monday, Sept. 14, meeting starts with a social hour and refreshments at 12:30 p.m., followed by a book discussion at 1 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

The club meets in the ML Library meeting room on 321 E. Herb St. Call (509) 893-8330 for directions.

Fairways green fees for food

The seventh annual Food Drive at the Fairways Golf Course is taking place Sept. 14 – 28. Donate four items of non-perishable food (cans or boxes) and receive a coupon for 50 percent off green fees on your next round of golf. Even if you don’t golf, please drop off any donation at the Fairways Club House.

Square dancing starts Sept. 14

The Cheney Hi-Flyers Dance Club offers beginning square dance and round (ballroom style) lessons starting on Monday, Sept. 14 at Cheney City Hall, 609 Second St. Square dance lessons start at 6:30 p.m. and round dance lessons start at 8 p.m.

Lessons are $4 per person, but each person’s first lesson is free. Casual clothing is encouraged. Contact John or Lin Hoskins, 235-5384, for more information.
