Salnave area break-ins solved

Cheney and Spokane police departments combined forces last week to put an end to a burglary ring responsible for at least eight break-ins in the Salnave area since July 20 — and possibly more than that in Spokane.

Cheney Police Sgt. Rick Beghtol said evidence from an Aug. 10 burglary of a residence on the 700 block of Clover Street pointed to an apparent suspect, which was further confirmed by a “reliable source.” That burglary included theft of a firearm.
