John Maticchio, owner of Lenny’s Restaurant, was pleading with the city of Cheney officials to do something about providing clean, clear drinking water after he experienced ongoing problems having cloudy water come from his tap every time he opened the spigot.
Cheney had begun to identify its future areas of growth over the next 20 years, singling out State Route 904 north of the city and along Cheney-Spangle Road and Cheney-Plaza Road to the south.
