Nichols gets his chance with Eskimos

Matt Nichols’ Canadian Football League professional career has been full of injuries so far, but the former Eastern Washington Eagle might finally have his chance.

With Edmonton Eskimos’ starting quarterback Mike Reilly sidelined by a knee injury suffered in a 26-11 loss to Toronto last Saturday, Nichols, the backup signal caller, will likely be the starter for the foreseeable future. Reilly is expected to be out 10-12 weeks.
