Cheney deals with Light Department matters, honors outgoing director

Electrical issues took center stage at the Cheney City Council’s June 9 meeting.

The council agreed to sell the Light Department’s 15-year-old digger/derrick truck to the city of Chewelah for $23,000, contingent upon the truck’s condition at time of sale and on the arrival of Cheney’s new digger/derrick truck. The old truck was inspected April 22 prior to the preliminary sale agreement.
