A sizable number of the 400 area baseball and softball players took part in the 11th annual West Plains Little League opening day festivities last Saturday at Salnave Field. Activities included Eastern Washington University mascot Swoop greeting the players before throwing out the first pitch, after which everyone lined up at the barbecue grill for hot dogs with all the fixings....
