Eastern Washington University's new recycling center found the perfect time - Earth Day 2015 - to officially unveil its new recycling center.
The $1.7 million facility, located on the northwest corner of campus across the parking lot from Roos Field and adjacent to the new surplus sale location, staged an open house April 22 at the new center of EWU's effort to further increase its commitment to sustainability.
The center's nearly 7,000 square feet will make it easier to process all types of waste and turn it into money coming back to the university.
