WPCC May Breakfast
Please join the West Plains Chamber of Commerce for their monthly breakfast on May 7 at Eastern Washington University in the Hargreaves Hall reading room at 7 a.m.
This month’s breakfast celebrates Youth in Leadership by presenting the Partners Advancing Character Education (PACE) Awards and announcing the 2015 WPCC scholarship recipients.
This month’s guest speaker will be state Sen. Mike Baumgartner. Tickets are $18 for WPCC members and $36 for nonmembers.
Youth Open Mic Night
The Airway Heights Youth Advisory Commission will be hosting an Open Mic Night Saturday, May 9 at the Heights Church Office, 13416 W. Sunset Highway Suite A. Performers can recite a poem, tell a story, sing a song or anything else they would like to share with other teens around the community.
There is no cost to participate or attend. Performers can pre-register to be towards the beginning, middle or sign up at the door. For more information call the Airway Heights Parks and Recreation Department at (509) 244-4845 or visit the Community Center at 13120 W. 13th Ave.
