Museum seeks phonebooks

The Cheney Historical Museum is seeking donations of Cheney phone books from 1970 to 2000. The local phone book has a wealth of historical information.

The museum has large gaps in its collection, and no one else in the community has a complete set. The community is asked to check those old storage spots and bring those old phone books to the museum.

Airway Heights 5K9 event

Airway Heights Parks and Recreation Department is bringing back its 5K9 Fun Run and Walk event April 18 at 9 a.m. at Sunset Park.

All dogs must be licensed, vaccinated and less than six feet tall. Dog owners are encouraged to bring muzzles. Please leave dogs that are aggressive, or in heat, at home. Dogs are not required to particpate.

MLDFS annual yard sale

Medical Lake Dollars for Scholars is seeking donations of good quality items such as furniture, sports equipment, clothing and household goods for their annual fundraising yard sale May 1-2.

Founder’s Day volunteers

The Medical Lake Founder’s Committee is looking for volunteers to help with the Saturday, June 20 event.

Some of the duties for volunteers include helping coordinate the parade by contacting parade entries, staging and managing the various activities and fundraising and selling raffle tickets from now until June 20.
