The Cheney high softball team continued to breeze through the season after wins over West Valley, 11-1, March 31, Medical Lake, 17-7, April 1, and against East Valley, 10-0, April 4.
In the West Valley game, the Blackhawks took an early lead in the first inning with two runs. They continued their momentum with a one-run third inning and an eight-run fourth, which forced the mercy rule. Cheney did well with the bats, going 13 for 23 at the plate. Julia Boyd had two hits with one home run and four RBIs. Maddie Kallsen had three hits with four RBIs and Rachel Barsness had three hits.
