Cardinal girls split matches

The Medical Lake girls battled both the weather, and their opponents last week, earning a split in a pair of Northeast A League tennis matches.

The Cardinals lost at Colville 3-2 March 24, but beat Freeman 4-1 and evened their league record at 1-1 and 2-2 overall.

On their trip to Colville, a cloudburst minutes after arrival forced a two-hour delay of their match. Annika Gahan at No. 2 singles won her match 6-1, 6-2 while the Cardinals’ other win came at No. 1 doubled where Cassidy Hagel and Annette Carlson won 6-3, 6-1.
