The public is invited to an open house Tuesday, March 24, to learn more about Spokane Transit Authority’s Proposition 1 to appear on the April 28 ballot. The open house takes place at Spokane International Airport’s Irv Reed Center, just west of the Ramada Inn off MacFarlane Road, from 4 – 6 p.m.
Proposition 1 proposes to increase local sales tax by three-tenths of 1 percent. If approved, the funds would be used to maintain existing service levels along with enhancements such as construction of a West Plains transit center near the Interstate 90/Medical Lake interchange 272.
