AARP Safe Driving Course
The AARP is offering its safe driving course, Saturday, March 21 at the Medical Lake City Hall Auditorium. Class starts at 9 a.m. and there will be a break for lunch.
The cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members. Those who attend will pay with a check at the time of the class. The class may lower insurance costs. Drivers should contact their insurance agent to confirm.

Tax help through April 15
If you worked in 2014 and made less than $52,427 you likely qualify to get your taxes done for free.
Free tax preparation assistance is offered Feb. 1 through April 15 at two locations on the West Plains. In Cheney, assistance is by appointment only at the community library, 610 First St., Friday’s from 1 – 5 p.m. and Saturdays 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Call (509) 353-4851 to schedule a time.
In Medical Lake, assistance is first come/first served at City Hall, 124 S. Lefevre St. Wednesday and Thursday 5 – 7 p.m.

VFW seeks new members
The Cheney Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 11326 is always looking for new members. Membership requirements must be a U.S. citizen or national, must have served in the U.S. armed forces and be currently serving or honorably discharged and must have served in a war, campaign or expedition on foreign soil or in hostile waters.
Above requirements must be verified by Department of Defense DD-214 papers. For more information contact Tom Strongin, Commander, VFW Post 11326 in Cheney.
AA group meets Tuesdays
The organization Alcoholics Anonymous is holding meetings every Tuesday evenings in Sprague. The first meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Community Center, 213 S. C St., on the corner of Third and C.
