Medical Lake boys earn upper hand in district play

Cards win back-to-back games against Riverside, face Rams yet again

The Medical Lake boys' basketball team knew they would likely face the Riverside Rams in at least two games.

But playing the equivalent of an entire playoff series with their Northeast A League rivals seemed unlikely. However, that's the way things have worked out. The two teams were to have met for a third consecutive game in the initial District 7 1A playoff game Feb. 17.

The "series" began Feb. 10 with the final NEA regular season game, a 50-39 Medical Lake win at home that moved the Cardinals into a tie in the final standings with the Rams.
