Eastern Washington's Melissa Williams wrestles for a rebound against the University of Idaho last Saturday.

As the Eastern Washington women's basketball team watched the University of Idaho turn a 16-point deficit into a three-point lead with just under five minutes to play in last Saturday's Big Sky Conference basketball game at Reese Court, they needed a fix.

That came from a combination of youth and a veteran for the Eagles who survived to collect a 71-65 win and keep their conference record unblemished at 3-0 - alone atop the early standings - with their overall mark at 10-4. Eastern is riding a six-game winning streak with two more home games this weekend.
