The Cheney High boy’s swimming team started 2015 with a close 87-75 loss to Pullman Jan. 3.
Junior Scott Nadeau qualified for his fourth state event after he took first in the 100-yard butterfly in 56.87 seconds. He also finished first in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.79).
Nadeau wasn’t the only Blackhawk to take the top spot in their events. Sophomore Trevor Babcock took first in the 100 freestyle (52.33) and 200 freestyle (1:55.57). Senior Caleb Prophet finished first in the 50 freestyle (25.07).
