New hours for Airway Heights Library in 2015

Growing demand creates need for Sunday hours

SPOKANE — Beginning with the New Year the Spokane County Library District will be expanding the hours for the Airway Heights Library, 1213 S. Lundstrom St. 

Starting Friday, Jan. 2, the Airway Heights Library will be open Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. 

Previously, the growing demand on the West Plains resulted in the Airway Heights Library expanding hours in the fall of 2012 with an additional weekday. Since then, the library has experienced an increasing demand for materials and services, and is extending hours again.

The new expanded hours will open the library on Sundays. 

Complete hours for the Airway Heights Library effective Jan. 2

Sunday —  1 – 5 p.m.

Monday — Closed

Tuesday — 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Wednesday — 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Thursday — 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Friday — Closed

Saturday — 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. 

Spokane County Library District operates 10 libraries outside the city of Spokane, including Airway Heights, Argonne, Cheney, Deer Park, Fairfield, Medical Lake, Moran Prairie, North Spokane, Otis Orchards and Spokane Valley. Through a reciprocal agreement with Spokane Public Library and Liberty Lake Municipal Library, library services are provided at no charge to residents of these service areas.
