The city of Medical Lake made a decision on the topics of solid waste and marijuana.
Back in October, Medical Lake entered into a contract with the city of Spokane to haul garbage to the Waste-to-Energy Plant on Geiger Boulevard. Spokane County will include Medical Lake in their comprehensive solid waste management plan. Under the agreement, gate fees will cost $70.50 a ton.
The new agreement will run through Nov. 16, 2021, however Medical Lake can terminate the contract after three years. Medical Lake still has a contract with Sunshine Recycling and Disposal for solid waste collection service...
