Medical Lake joins the party, gets rolling on its 2015 budget

The city of Medical Lake began preparing for its 2015 budget at the Nov. 4 City Council meeting.

The council held a public hearing for the current expense and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) revenue sources for the 2015 current expense budget and the possible increase in regular property taxes.

Following the public hearing, the council voted 6-1 to approve the first reading of an ordinance that increases the property tax rate and the EMS levy rate by 1 percent for 2015. Councilman A.J.
