Eastern falls in final seconds at Northern Arizona

Lumberjacks drive 77 yards in final 47 seconds to end Eagles' 14-game Big Sky winning streak

Eastern Washington's Quincy Forte finds running room Saturday against Northern Arizona. Forte logged 219 yards but it was not enough as the Eagles were edged in the final seconds, 28-27.

Eastern Washington's trip to Flagstaff, Ariz. to play the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks in a Big Sky Conference football game didn't begin on a good note, and it certainly didn't end on one, either.

The Eagles' charter flight last Friday had mechanical problems, forcing the need for a replacement plane. The mechanics of the football team had a miss, too, in Saturday's 28-27 last minute loss in the Walkup Skydome that ended Eastern's 14-game conference winning streak.
