CHENEY

Oct. 13

License plates were found on the 2600 block of First Street.

Harassment was reported on the 300 block of J Street.

Third degree theft was reported on the 600 block of West First Street. A bicycle was stolen and subsequently recovered. Also taken were prescription medications from a vehicle. A citizen saw the bicycle theft, followed the suspects and called police. Police arrested Savannah M. Shaw, 19, for felony possession of medications, and Dustin Z. Leonard, 20, third-degree theft.

Oct. 14

Police assisted Adult Protective Services on a welfare check on the 800 block of West First Street.

Troy M. Whyte, 28, was arrested on the 700 block of West First Street for violation of a court protective order.

A 16-year-old male was arrested for third-degree theft/shoplifting on the 2700 block of First Street.

A possible road rage incident was reported on the 2800 block of First Street.

An 11-year-old-male was arrested on the 400 block of West Sixth Street for having a weapon on school property.

Oct. 15

Second-degree assault was reported on the 600 block of Second Street. The subject was knocked out at party.

A 15-year-old female was arrested for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence on 100 West Fifth Street.

A rape was reported on the 1500 block of Third Street.

Oct. 17

A dead deer was reported on the 2300 block of Cheney-Spokane Road.

Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the 300 block of West Eleventh Street.

Third-degree theft was reported on the zero hundred block of F Street. Signage was taken from a building.

Property was recovered on the 400 block of Fifth Street. Minimal amounts of pot confiscated and destroyed.

Oct. 18

Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the 2200 block of First Street.

Matthew J. Dunlap, 18, and Gage N. Robertson-Hathaway, 18, were arrested on the 100 block of Washington Street for possession of a controlled substance/marijuana being under the age of 21.

A fraudulent check scam was reported on the 1000 block of Betz Road.

A red bicycle was found on the 800 block of Second Street.

A black bicycle found on the 2600 block of Betz Road.

Second-degree theft was reported on the 3500 block of Thistlecreek Lane. Credit cards and identification were taken from a vehicle.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 3100 block of Meadow Glen. A bicycle, cash, and radar detector were taken from six different vehicles.

A motor vehicle was taken without the owner’s permission on the 200 block of Cheney-Spangle Road. The vehicle was recovered on Cheney-Spokane Road at Cedar Road.

Police responded to a domestic violence report on the 300 block of North Eleventh Street. It was determined one of the individuals at the residence had an outstanding warrant. Jennifer G. Harris, 26, was arrested on a third-degree theft warrant from Airway Heights.

The police assisted the Washington State Patrol on the 2000 block of First Street with a driving under the influence arrest.

Oct. 19

Hayden F. Lucia, 22, was arrested for report of residential burglary/forced entry on the zero hundred block of West Third Street.

A cell phone was found on the 200 block of West Fifth Street.

An officer en route back to Cheney from a jail transport came upon a two vehicle, two motorcycle head-on collision at milepost 271 on eastbound I-90. Officer and a second Cheney officer assisted Washington State Patrol.

Oct. 20

Report of child endangerment or fight was reported on the 3500 block of Thistlecreek Lane. Complainant was concerned about the welfare of her small child who was visiting the house where occupants were fighting.

Oct. 14

Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the 100 block of South Lefevre Street.

Oct. 16

A vehicle prowl was reported on the 400 block of East Tara Lee Avenue.

Domestic violence was reported on the 700 block of East Tara Lee Avenue.

Harassment was reported on the 1000 block of East Campbell Street.

James B. Curd, 35, was arrested on the 300 block of East Fellows Street on warrants out of Stevens County.

Oct. 17

Disorderly conduct was reported on the 100 block of North Walker Street.

A vehicle prowl was reported on the 1000 block of North Howard Street.

Oct. 18

Daniel R. Olson, 56, was arrested on the 500 block of East Campbell Street for domestic violence protection order violation.

AIRWAY HEIGHTS

Oct. 16

Amanda R. Cheers, 26, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road for possession of a controlled substance/methamphetamine.

Gregory A. Klahn, 30, was arrested on the 1200 block of South Hayford Road on a warrant for theft.

Furnishing alcohol to minors was reported on the 12500 block of West Highway 2.

Oct.17

A burglary was reported on the 1600 block of Deer Heights Road.

A vehicle theft was reported on the 10600 block of West 12th Avenue.

A vehicle theft was reported on the 1600 block of South Deer Heights Road.

A suspicious person/circumstance was reported on the 10600 block of West 12th Avenue.

Oct.18

A burglary was reported on the 2100 block of South Garfield Road.
