EWU volleyball starts long homestand

The Eastern Washington University women’s volleyball team will play its next four matches at Reese Court, beginning with tilts against Montana State and Montana this week.

EWU (6-13, 2-4 Big Sky) takes on MSU on Thursday, Oct. 16, before squaring off with the Griz on Saturday, Oct. 17. Both matches begin at 6 p.m.

In an effort to raise awareness for breast cancer, Eastern will play its annual Dig Pink match Thursday. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to Reese Court, and those that do will receive special $2 admission.

Friday’s match also carries a special $2 ticket price, this time for those that present a military ID in advance of Football’s Military Appreciation Day this Saturday, Oct. 18.

The Eagles split a pair of road conference contests last week, besting Sacramento State in five sets before falling to Dam Cup rival Portland State in three sets. EWU’s win over the Hornets was just its fourth road victory in the all-time series.
