Eastern Washington University Marketing and Communication Department’s senior graphic designer Ryan Gaard was appointed to a seat on the Cheney City Council at a special meeting held Tuesday, Sept. 30.
Gaard was one of five candidates interviewed for the position left vacant by the resignation of Councilman Bob Stockton in August. Gaard will fill the position through 2015 and said he was willing to run for election next November.
