Cheney's parks are adequate, for now

Cheney Parks and Recreation

The map above shows the open spaces and recreation centers available to the public in Cheney. The options include Cheney School District and Eastern Washington University facilities.

When it comes to Cheney's parks facilities, the upside of the city's 40.96 acres of recreation land is there's many options to choose from for those who wish to have a picnic, hold youth sports contests, play some tennis, exercise and swim.

The downside is many of these facilities are facing all the problems older facilities do, deterioration, maintenance, noncompliance with safety standards and improvements as well as expansion as the city grows over the next 10-15 years.
