Schwery earns Big Sky soccer award
Eastern Washington women’s soccer senior goalkeeper Nathalie Schwery was picked by the Big Sky Conference as the Co-Defensive Player of the week after her 4-0 shutout against Idaho, Aug. 29.
Schwery was impressive in the net in Friday’s match and helped lead the Eagles to a remarkable 4-0 victory win over the Vandals. The Switzerland native came up with six key stops that prevented the Vandals from gaining any ground on the night.
She also recorded a 3-0 shutout at Cal State Bakersfield, Aug. 24. EWU had not recorded two straight shutouts since 2009....
